Somewhere in a port high above Brazil, a group of malandros sit in a place that seems familiar to them. Part Harlequin, part Robin Hood, these popular characters navigate between myth and reality, honest at heart and dishonest by necessity. Resourceful and mischievous, they elegantly extricate themselves from the most perilous situations. From their encounters, their desires, their past as slaves, the samba and the beach, the dance springs forth. Malandragem is a state of mind, a poetic mischief offered up like a fleeting bouquet.
